Hello and how’s it going?
My name is David Reynolds and I’m a guy who is not only pretty good with my hands but also pretty good with all different types of small engine powered devices – especially lawnmowers. That’s probably because I spent a good part of my life working on small engines and then I spent a few years using them. Needless to say, I think I’m pretty proficient with them.
It all started some years ago when I lost my job where I worked as a machinist. Like many of the blue collar jobs in the Midwest, one day I had a job and the next day I didn’t. Like so many of my fellow workers, we were just given our pink slips and weren’t given an explanation as to what happened to my job. The only thing I was given was my severance check and a kick in the backside. Which left me having to go home and look my wife in the eyes and tell her the bad news.
At the time, it was me and my wife and our three kids. And I was the only one with an income because she was going to school to finish her degree as a nurse – an RPN to be exact. Fortunately, she took it even better than I thought she would. She even offered to quit school and get a part-time job as a checker at the local grocery store to help bring in some money. If there’s one thing I can say about her, she’s one hell of a woman.
Now, of course, I didn’t want her to quit her dream, so I started doing what I was good at: working with small engines – something I did in my spare time for years. I printed out some flyers and started getting requests from people to fix their lawnmowers. At the time, I didn’t know too much about lawnmowers but I did know the basic principles behind how they worked and as I said, I was pretty handy.
So I started learning everything I could about lawnmowers. About their engines and about how they worked. And during my research, I started learning a bunch of other useful things that pertain to lawnmowers. Things such as how to keep them in good working order and how to troubleshoot them.
As I learned more and more about these machines, I began to gain quite the appreciation for them. Which sort of fueled my interest in them. Before long, I was making a decent income. I could not only keep the lights on and keep food on the table, but my wife was also able to finish her degree.
And that isn’t even the end of the story. Working with lawnmowers not only helped me keep my family afloat during some really tough times, but it also led to a new career for me. I was able to start my own business and put my knowledge of lawnmowers to good use. Now I have a few guys working underneath me and they can work and keep their families fed.
Now I can keep sharing some of my success with you fine folks. If you’re looking for honest lawnmower advice and reviews, then you’ve come to the right place. I hope that it provides you with the information you need to either select the best lawnmower possible or keep that lawnmower running as well as it can.
Thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate it.
