GreenWorks 25302 G-MAX 40V Twin Force 20-Inch Cordless Lawn Mower

The review that I’m doing today is for an electric cordless mower called the GreenWorks 25302 G-MAX 40V Twin Force 20-Inch Cordless Lawn Mower. You may have seen the models of this lawnmower with the 16” or 19” decks, but this one is the 20 “ model. With that being said, let’s get on with this review.

The first thing I noticed is that it was pretty easy to assemble. Sure, there were a few more steps than some of the gas powered ones, but it really wasn’t that complicated and I had this mower up and ready for my yard in no time flat. The batteries don’t come fully charged, so I had to fully charge them but even so, it really didn’t take too long.

Once I had it all assembled, I also noticed that it was not only a fine looking machine but was also really quiet. Quiet enough that I could listen to the radio, if I wanted to. Which is really weird because I’m used to using lawnmowers that I have to use ear protection with in order to use. I really have to give this unit some praise for this point.

I also think that the GreenWorks 25302 G-MAX 40V Twin Force 20-Inch Cordless Lawn Mower did a great job on my lawn. It efficiently cut through the grass and didn’t give me a minute of trouble when I went over some of the areas of my yard that had tall grass. However, I did notice that when I cut the tall grass my battery depleted a whole lot faster. Something to consider.

Which brings me to my next point: the number of times I had to recharge the batteries to do my entire yard. Now, I have a pretty decent sized yard (a little over a ½ acre), so it’s no surprise I had to recharge the batteries several times. In fact, I ended up recharging the batteries a total of 3 times. And it takes awhile between charging the batteries, so I wouldn’t really recommend this mower for large yards.

Another thing I wanted to comment on was the mower bag was a little bit smaller than I would have liked it to have been. This is the case even with the dual blade system that cuts the grass into finer pieces. It wasn’t too bad but still resulted in me emptying it more than I would have liked.

However, the mower handled exceptionally well with mulching. I think that if I had a small or even a regular-sized yard, then this mower would be my choice. It has a lot going for it. It’s environmentally friendly and isn’t noisy and lightweight.

Overall, I think that the GreenWorks 25302 G-MAX 40V Twin Force 20-Inch Cordless Lawn Mower can be a great mower, if you use it for certain purposes. For instance, if you have a really large yard, then you aren’t going to want this mower. However, if you have a regular-size or smaller yard, then this might just be the mower for you.
