Husqvarna 7021P 3-in-1 Push Gas Lawn Mower Review

The Husqvarna 7021P 3-in-1 Push Gas Lawn Mower is a lawn mower that has a couple of things going for it. It has a 21-inch cutting deck, high real wheels that come with double ball bearings to ensure wheel movement life and a powerful 160 cc. Honda engine. For the past few years, Briggs & Stratton has been considered one of the best lawn mower engines, but Honda engines are currently nipping at their heels. And that’s no surprise considering they continuously seem to produce powerful, fairly quiet engines.

The first thing I noticed when I unpacked this gas push mower was that it was really easy to assemble. Within a matter of moments, I was adding gasoline and oil to it and getting ready to take her out for her maiden mowing. And it was then that I encountered my first problem. It took me about 15 pulls to start this mower for the first time—which surprised me since this was a mower with an auto-choke system. However, I did notice that when I started it on the next 3 or 4 occasions, it started on the first pull. I guess it’s just hard to start on its first use because it worked fine after that.

Once I had the engine running, I noticed that it was quiet and did a great job at cutting my grass. It not only did a great job side-discharging the grass but it also did a pretty good job mulching and rear bagging it. It just seemed to work so well that I was actually enjoying cutting my grass with it. Yes, the engine is pretty good. The only real problem I had with this mower was with the handle. It just didn’t feel all that sturdy and one of the bolts even backed out while I was mowing for the 4th or 5th time. Not a big deal, but something to consider.

Analyzing both the good and bad points of the Husqvarna 7021P 3-in-1 Push Gas Lawn Mower, I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s a pretty good mower. Yes, it was hard to start the first time I started it and I had a problem with its handle, but I still think that it is one of the better gas-powered push lawn mowers today. It may not be the best but it’s pretty close.
